Tuition classes, seminars and lecturers for advanced level students will be banned with effect from midnight of July 27th.
The ban will in force until the GCE Advanced Level examination is concluded on August 27th.
Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara stated that the distribution of model question papers, printing such posters or leaflets is also prohibited.
He also said that those who violate these conditions can be reported to the police emergency unit, police headquarters or to the department of Examination.
The Examinations Department stated that stern action will be taken against the principals if they do not release admission papers to advanced level candidates of their schools.
