Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is scheduled to arrive in the island on an official visit today (21).
Malaysian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah said the Deputy Prime Minister is due to hold discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Minister of Home Affairs Vajira Abeywardena and Minister of Foreign Employment Thalatha Athukorala.
The discussion will focus on strengthening relations and developing trade ties between the two countries.
Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is also scheduled to hold talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera.
The Deputy Prime Minister Dato Seri Dr. Ahmed Zahid Hamidi will be accompanied by his spouse Yang Amat Berbahagia Datin Seri Hamidah binti Khamis, officials and members of a business delegation.
