Jaffna Unemployed Graduates Association and Joint Association of Unemployed Graduates launched a protest yesterday.

A large number of employed graduates from the Northern Province took part in the protest that took place in front of Jaffna District Secretariat, our Correspondent said.

A total of 30,000 graduates are unemployed in the country and currently there are 50,000 job vacancies.

The protesters alleged that the government has failed to address the matter.

They claimed that a singed petition will be handed to the Prime Minister and President soon.
