Peak-hour commuters at Bhyandar station in Mumbai- India were left stunned last week when an unidentified man jumped onto the tracks and was instantly killed by an approaching train.
However, in the absence of anybody coming forward to claim his body even after a week, the man still remains to be identified by the Government Railway Police (GRP). He did not have any ID on him when he committed suicide.
The man, thought to be in his 30s, jumped in front of a Churchgate bound train at Bhayandar station, as the train coming from Naigaon entered the station. CCTV footage shows the man - dressed in a pink shirt and jeans -patiently waiting for the train with other passengers on Platform. However, as soon as the train could be seen entering the platform, he jumped onto the tracks and was killed instantly.
