The Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that Indo Sri Lankan relations will not be reduced to local politics.  The Premier made the statement this morning at Galle Face grounds at the launching of the emergency ambulance service that was sponsored by the Indian government

The emergency ambulance service grant worth 7.06 million US dollars will be implemented in the Western and the Southern Provinces under its first phase.

250 medical technicians and 500 other workers who obtained training in India have been employed to run this service.

88 ambulances were commissioned into service at the ceremony today (28).

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering through satellite television.

Later Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe when addressing the gathering said that one of the primary responsibilities of the government is to save the lives of the people.
