President Maithripala Sirisena says that state officials should fulfill their responsibility for the people, keeping aside Party differences.

Speaking at an event that was held in Polonnaruwa yesterday the President stated that as a government which was appointed to listen to the grievances of the public, it was not an option to fail in its duty.

Meanwhile, President Maithripala Sirisena offered his warmest wishes to the Sri Lankan Cricket team for their historic win in the first Test match against world's Number 1 ranked Team, Australia.

The President called Captain Angelo Mathews and congratulated on Sri Lanka's second ever win against Australia and offered best wishes for upcoming matches.
