Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara noted that stern action will be taken against external individuals who assist A/L exam applicants to cheat during the exam.
Releasing a communiqué, he noted that if they receive such information, the relevant offenders will be taken into custody.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara noted that 27,000 invigilators have been deployed to inspect the Advanced Level exam which commences tomorrow.
315,605 applicants are eligible to sit for the exam held in 2204 centres.
Among them, 74,614 students are private applicants.
