No Compensation For Port City Project Delay - Says China

The Chinese company which handles the Colombo Port City Project has agreed not to accrue the loss caused due to the halt of the project, Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka said.

The observation was made while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (02).

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said Sri Lanka need not pay any compensation for the delay in the Colombo Port City Project. He was addressing a special press conference at Temple Trees to brief about the major outcome during his visit to China.

The Prime Minister said the matter of compensation was not raised during his visit in China and assured that it would be solved easily.
