Injunction On Full Face Helmets Extended

The interim injunction issued by the Appeal Court preventing police to ban full-face helmets was extended again until November 17th.

The Case in relation to the incident was taken before Appeal Court Judges Vijith Malalgoda and Prithi Padman Soorasena this morning.

Police plans to ban motor cyclists from wearing full-face helmets was supposed to take effect from April 2nd last year.

However on March 31st 2015, two individuals filed a petition with the Appeal Court against the action.

The case with regard to full-face helmet ban will be taken up for hearing again on November 16th.
