Prime Minister returns to the island after official visit to Indonesia
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe returned to the island early this morning after ending his two day official tour of Indonesia.
The Premier participated in the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum in Jakarta during his visit to Indonesia.
Meanwhile, State Enterprise Development Minister Kabeer Hashim participated in a ministers’ meeting which was held on the sidelines of the World Islamic Economic Forum.
During the meeting, Minister Kabeer Hashim stated that the government has no intention to confine the bilateral and multi lateral agreements mere to documents.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe met the heads of chambers of commerce in Indonesia before he left Jakarta yesterday.
Several Indonesian businessmen have expressed their interest to invest in Sri Lanka subsequent to the prevailing political stability in the country.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated that discussions have been held to create understanding between the chambers of commerce of two countries.
