The visiting Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistani Air force Sohail Alman met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed an operational committee for the Sri Lanka National Urban Housing program. 

The target of this committee is to construct 200,000 housing units covering all urban areas of the island, by 2020.

The new committee will be chaired by the Prime Minister’s senior advisor R. Pas-kara-lingam. 

The head of the Government’s Five Year plan Arjuna Mahendran, consultants of the Housing and Construction Ministry W. Ilapperuma and Susil Siriwardana are also part of the committee.
