COPE Investigation reports on 19 state institutions released

The first report of investigations on 19 state institutions conducted by Committee on Public Enterprises was presented to parliament today.  

According to the report presented to parliament by its chairman and JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti, the Bank of Ceylon, Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lankan Airlines, Rakna Lanka Security Firm, Sri Jayawardanapura hospital and National Elders Secretariat are among the public institutions subjected to the investigation conducted by COPE.

Simultaneously, State Pharmaceutical Corporation, Estate Development Board, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Agriculture and Agricultural Insurance Board, Palmyra Development Board, Lankaputra Development Bank and Lanka Petroleum Corporation are also among the 19 investigated public enterprises.
