A six-month-old baby girl who had fallen ill as a result of a wrong vaccination administered by the office of the Piliyandala Health Medical Officer has been admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching hospital.

The baby’s mother told our news team that the child had been administered the vaccinations scheduled to be given during the 4th and 6thmonth.

The vaccination had been administered to the six-month-old baby girl resident in Suvarapola in Piliyandala last Monday.

The baby’s mother said further that although she had informed the Family Health Officer with regard to the scheduled vaccination, the officer disregarded it.

However while the father of the baby had lodged a complained with the Piliyandala Police, police officers had gone to the Piliyandala MOH office and commenced investigations with regard to it.
