Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya temporarily has lifted the previous travel ban on former minister of trade, Johnston Fernando.

The travel ban was lifted after considering his appeal which citied that he needs to take his wife to Singapore for medical treatment.

Accordingly, the travel ban has been lifted until September 6th.

The Former Minister had been banned from leaving the country in connection with allegations made regarding his failure to declare his assets and liabilities.
