Opposition Leader tells Norway Prime Minister that International intervention is needed

Opposition Leader R Sambanthan has said that he believes that international intervention was necessary in obtaining a political solution for the ethnic issue in the country.

He said that he conveyed these sentiments during the meeting with visiting Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg yesterday.

The Norwegian Prime Minister was welcomed amidst military honours and held discussions with the President and Prime Minister yesterday.
