Four individuals have been arrested for throwing stones at a train near the Slave Island railway station.
The individuals who had hurled stones at a train plying from Panadura to Colombo in this manner were a group who were engaged in fishing along the Bambalapitiya and Colpetty coast.
Recently an Assistant Education director was killed due to a similar attack on a train along the Northern railway line.
The Department of Railways say that over 200 officers have been deployed in order to arrest those responsible for such attacks.
