China is getting ready to look into the support it could obtain from Sri Lanka’s main port and airport.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, currently in china on an official visit, met with the Director General of Chongqing Connectivity Generation Bureau Hang Bach-chaang yesterday.
On this occasion the Prime Minister said that he was prepared to give his full attention to the best opportunities and benefits that Sri Lanka could obtain from the inter - connectivity between the Chongqing metropolitan city and Singapore.
The Chongqing Connectivity Generation Bureau has been set up for achieving the three-pronged aims of China’s “one lane-one road” concept, westernized business and Yang River Economic Zone.
The delegation including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also participated last afternoon in an observation tour for studying the bilateral enterprises carried out by the bureau.
Expressing his views further on this occasion Bureau General Director said that he was prepared to share the experiences of the Bureau and those of the large scale businessmen for achieving Sri Lanka’s economic aspirations.
