Police to assist Scholarship examination procedures
Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara stated that a special program will be implemented in collaboration with the Police, for the Year 5 Scholarship exam scheduled to be held tomorrow.
The program aims to minimize the obstacles faced by the applicants and to abide by the examination rules.
350,701 applicants will be sitting for this year’s examination, where 401 among them are applicants with special needs.
28,000 officials have been deployed to carry out administrative activities of the examination.
The Commissioner General also made a special reminder to the applicants, emphasizing on the importance of time management during the exam.
Reminding that the first question paper will be limited to 45 minutes, and the second question paper will be limited to 1 hour and 15 minutes, he advised the students not to panic, read the instructions carefully and to answer the questions within the scheduled time period.
The Commissioner General also advised the students to arrive early to their respective exam centres, as the late comers will not receive any additional time to complete the exam.
He further noted that the examination will commence at 9.30 tomorrow morning, and that he has advised the invigilators to ensure all applicants remain seated by 9 AM tomorrow.
