Three persons died after a three wheeler collided with a bus at the 7th mile Post in Tissamaharama today.

Reports indicated that the victims were returning after sending their children to sit for the Year 5 Scholarship exam.

Police noted that the three victims were passengers of the three-wheeler.

When the accident occurred, the three-wheeler, which was plying from Tissamaharama to Kataragama, collided with a bus plying the opposite direction.

The victims, aged between 39 to 50 years, are residents of Sevana Village in Tissamaharama.

Their bodies are currently placed at the Tissamaharama Hospital.
