Sri Lankan Airlines has decided to interdict the pilot who caused a delay in one of their flights at Frankfurt airport in Germany on the 19th.
Sri Lankan Airlines further noted that the decision was taken after the relevant pilot failed the alcohol test.
UL 554 flight of Sri Lankan Airlines, which was scheduled to leave for Colombo from Frankfurt, Germany, was delayed by 15 hours due to the late arrival of its pilot.
The Sri Lankan Airlines firm also provided meals and accommodation for all the passengers affected by the delay.
The firm also noted that they would take measures to compensate the relevant passengers in accordance with the European Union civil aviation regulations.
Releasing a communiqué, the Sri Lankan Airlines stressed that it would take stringent action against those who breach the policies of the airline service in order to prioritize security of its passengers.
