Minister John receives a call from Wak-kubura after he resigned from the post of organizer
Ratnapura District MP Janaka Wakkumbura said today that he would resign from the position of SLFP organizer for Kalawana.
The MP announced his decision during an SLFP Kalawana Central Electorate organization meeting held at his resident in Elapatha this morning.
MP Wakkumbura took this decision after the SLFP Central Electorate Organization of Kalawana passed a resolution citing that the MP should resign from the electorate organizing position.
Meanwhile, SLFP Ratnapura district leader W.D.J. Seneviratne and party treasurer minister S.B. Dissanayake expressed their views about MP Wakkumbura’s resignation.
Addressing a media conference held in Colombo, Minister W.D.J. Seneviratne said that Wakkumbura called him after the latter, resigned from his position.
