It is revealed that the Bambalapitiya businessman was killed after being hit in the head, 4 hours after his abduction
The autopsy held on the body of the abducted Bambalapitiya businessman Mohammad Suleiman has revealed that the victim was murdered after being hit in the head with a club.
Judicial Medical Officer of Kegalle Teaching hospital Dr. Ramesh Alagiyawanna who conducted the post-mortem reported that two places on the head of the victim were attacked and the subsequent internal bleeding has led to his death.
The post-mortem also revealed that the victim had taken dinner at 9pm on the day he was abducted and he was murdered 4 hours later.
Meanwhile, the Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peries issued travel ban on five suspects wanted in connection with the murder of businessman Mohammad Suleiman.
The order was issued to the Controller of Emigration and Immigration and Police Intelligence Director today.
The Magistrate also ordered the authorities to arrest the suspects if they attempt to leave the country.
Police recovered the body of Mohammad Suleiman from Rukulagama at Hemmathagama in Mawanella last night.
Mohammad Suleiman was abducted by an unidentified group on the night of August 21st while he was waiting for his wife to open the gate.
Later, the abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs. 20 million from the father of the victim.
