Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s grandmother released on a personal bail
The Colombo Magistrate Court released Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s grandmother, Daisy Forest on a personal bail, for evading responding to the summons by the FCID on several occasions.
Daisy Forest was summoned by the FCID to record a statement with regard to a property in Mt. Lavinia.
Meanwhile, the lawyers of Daisy Forest informed Court today that their client would be able to appear before court on August 31.
At the same time, Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Massive Fraud and Corruption recorded, a statement today from Industrial and Trade Minister Rishard Badi Udin for two hours.
The statement was recorded from the minister Badi Udin with regard to a financial misappropriation that had been committed when importing raw rice during the previous regime.
