One out of the five children of the same family, who were hospitalized with dengue, has died.

The diseased is a 14 year old boy from Suduhampala area in Kandy.

Residents of the area accused that due to a problem of the demarcation, the Kandy Municipal Council has not taken any action for fogging of the area although several cases of dengue have been reported earlier as well.

Accordingly, no action has been taken for the fogging of the area as it is located in the Kandy Municipal Council and Pradeshiya Sabha border.

The diseased boy was admitted to the Kandy General Hospital last Monday and was later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the Peradeniya Hospital.

When our news team enquired from MOH of Kandy Municipal Council Dr. Y.M.N.K Yapa with regard to the matter, she noted that the Malaria control unit has been informed of the matter.
