Minister Nimal Siripala says he would have remained with former President, if party leadership was not transferred
Senior Vice President of SLFP, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva stated that he would have continued to remain with former president Mahinda Rajapakse had he not handed over the party leadership to President Maithreepala Sirisena.
He noted this during a SLFP Bala Mandala meeting held at Badulla yesterday.
Meanwhile, SLFP General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake noted that every time the party was divided, the entire party had to pay the price.
He stated this while addressing a meeting held at the SLFP party office at Thirappane yesterday.
