Statements from eight businessmen have been obtained with regard to the murder of Bambalapitiya millionaire Mohamed Suleiman.
The Colombo CID said that these businessmen were close associates of the victim.
The individuals are residents of Wellawatta, Dehiwala, Bambalapitiya and Dematagoda.
CCTV investigations of footage along the main road from Colombo to Kandy and from Mawanella to Hemmathagama at the time of the murder have been initiated by the CID.
Police have also obtained statements from five other businessmen who have been barred from leaving the country.
It was revealed yesterday that these individuals are relatives of Mohamed Suleiman.
Millionaire textile businessman Mohamed Suleiman was abducted outside his home in Bambalapitiya on the 21st august.
His body was recovered from the precipice close to a road in Rukulugama Hemmathagama in Mawanella on 24th this month.
