PM to leave for Singapore to attend Indian Ocean Conference 2016

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will leave for Singapore today to participate in the Indian Ocean Conference 2016.

The Conference entitled - Culture, Commerce & Comity" organized by the India Foundation will be held at the Shangri La Hotel in Singapore from September 1 to 2.

The Conference is a unique initiative to convene critical states, key stakeholders and principal maritime partners to deliberate on how to create a zone of shared security, shared prosperity and shared development in the Indian Ocean Region.

The conference would be attended by eminent leaders and distinguished delegates from over 15 countries in the Indian Ocean Region.
