A protest was held in Kurunegala today against the removal of a war heroes’ memorial in front of Welagedara Stadium.  MP Salinda Dissanayake, a group of relatives of dead war heroes and a group of disabled soldiers joined in the protest held in front of Welagedara Stadium.

Later, the protestors participated in a public gathering in Kurunegala where former president Mahinda Rajapaksa was the chief guest.
