Ban Ki-moon meets President today

The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday on a three-day visit.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva welcomed the UN Chief at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

Later Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe met with Ban Ki Moon over dinner.

The secretary general will meet with President Maithripala Sirisena today for bilateral discussions.

During his visit, UN chief will visit a resettlement site in Jaffna, and participate in an event in Galle focusing on the role of youth in reconciliation and coexistence.
