The Bandaragama businessman reported missing three days ago in Trincomalee has been arrested from Haldummulla in Haputale.

A senior police officer in charge of Trincomalee division stated that the businessman had schemed his own disappearance drama.

The 35-year-old jewelry businessman of Atulugama in Bandaragama had visited Trincomalee to participate in a jewelry auction conducted by a commercial bank last Monday.

It was also revealed that the businessman was carrying 20 million rupees when he participated in the auction.

Police received a telephone call from Jaffna citing that the businessman reported to be missing was safe.

Later police continued investigations to arrest the businessman from Haldummulla this morning.
