New passports issued to accused Udayanga Weerathunga and his wife

It was revealed in parliament today that a former Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga who has been accused of illegal arm deals and his wife have been issued new passports to replace their diplomatic passports.

Answering a question presented by JVP MP Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, External Affairs, North Western Development and Cultural Affairs Minister S.B. Navinna revealed this in parliament this morning.
