Supplementary estimate of 4.16 billion rupees presented to parliament

The Finance Ministry presented a 4.16 billion rupee supplementary estimate to parliament today.

The new supplementary estimate has been sought to pay the leasing for the buses imported for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting held in Colombo in 2013 and, the emergency ambulance service.

The instalment that needs to be paid for the fleet of CHOGM buses imported on lease has been estimated at 190 million rupees while another 120 million rupees has been estimated for the ambulance service.
