President says failure to meet entitled duties may cause unfortunate consequences

President Maithripala Sirisena says that those who do not perform their entitled duties would end up in tragedy.

Addressing a ceremony held yesterday in Ambalangoda, the president said Buddhism is the only panacea for all ills of the current society.

Meanwhile, President Sirisena has directed Justice and Buddhasasana Minister Wijedasa Rajapakse to appoint a Cabinet sub-committee to organize the first UN Wesak Celebration to be held in Sri Lanka next year.
