30 Sri Lankans deported from Japan arrive in the island

30 Sri Lankans who were arrested for overstaying in Japan returned to the island today.  

Our correspondent stated that the repatriates were flown to Sri Lanka by a special aircraft.  

67 Japanese security personnel accompanied them to the Katunayake International Airport.

An emigration and Immigration Department spokesman stated that necessary action will be taken after recording statements from the repatriates.
