Island-wide driving schools to be inspected; Fees to be regulated

The Department of Motor Traffic says that it would inspect all driving schools island-wide within the next two weeks.

Under this program, the instructors and the vehicles of these schools will be also subjected to special inspection.

The Assistant Commissioner of the Department J.A.S. Jayaweera noted that steps would be taken to regulate the fees charged by the relevant driving schools for training drivers, from the 1st of January 2017.
