NZ Finance Minister pledges to support Sri Lankan economy

The Finance Minister of New Zealand Bill English has pledged his keenness to support Sri Lanka in building its economic and monetary growth process.
The prime minister’s office stated in a communiqué that the New Zealand Finance Minister has made this pledge during a discussion he had with the visiting Sri Lankan delegation led by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in Wellington this morning.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe met the Governor General of Wellington Patsy Reddy this morning.
Reddy has told Premier Wickremesinghe that apart from the New Zealand government’s assistance she too extends her personal support to Sri Lanka to modernize the local cinema industry and establish a national film development board.
