Japan grants a 33 billion yen loan to Sri Lanka

Japan has granted a Rs. 46.622 billion loan to Sri Lanka to maintain its financial stability and continue the current development projects within the next five years.

The Ministry of Finance, in a communiqué stated that Rs. 10 billion out of the 33,137 yen loan has been granted as development policy loans.

Rs. 32.169 billion has been granted to implement the second phase of the Anuradhapura north water supply project.

The communiqué further stated that the signing of the agreement and exchange of papers took place at the Ministry of Finance today.
