A group of differently abled war heroes protesting near the Presidential Secretariat at this moment are demanding the proposed service pension.
Police have closed off the road leading to Galle Face from the Lotus Roundabout as the protesters marched from Forth Railway station towards the Presidential Secretariat.
Differently abled war heroes first staged a protest demanding service pension on July 6th.
Later they temporarily gave up the protest after Minister Duminda Dissanayake and Defence Secretary Karunarathna Hettiarachchi promised them to give them a solution within three months.
Meanwhile, six war heroes have left for the Presidential Secretariat to hand over a petition.
