Former Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunarathne was further remanded today until November 8.

Gunarathne is accused of a motor accident which occurred at Pillanduwa in Negombo in 2002.

Meanwhile, a Case against two individuals including MP Udaya Gammanpila with regard to illegally trading shares of a company that belongs to an Australian national, was taken for hearing before Colombo High Court today.

MP Gammanpila’s lawyer requested the Courts to permit his client to travel abroad.

High Court Judge A.A.R. Heiyanthuduwa who considered the request stated that the plea will be considered on November 9th.
