Depression in the Central Bay of Bengal develops

According to the Department of Meteorology depression in the Central Bay of Bengal is now located about 800 km to the Northeast of Sri Lanka.

There is no direct effect on Sri Lanka. However showers or thundershowers at times and cloudy skies can be expected to continue at most parts of the island.

Heavy falls (more than 100 mm) can be expected at some places, (particularly in the Southern, Central, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces) until 07th November.

Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly, after 2.00 p.m.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.
