President Maithripala Sirisena who is in in India on an official visit met the Indian President Pranab Mukherjee yesterday. The meeting took place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Discussions with regard to strengthening of ties between the two countries was held during the meeting, the Presidential Media Unit stated.
President Sirisena and delegation are in India to take part in the global anti-tobacco conference organized by the World Health Organization under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is due to start at 12.30 pm today.
