94 kilos of Kerala marijuana seized from Chundikulam coast

Police yesterday seized 94 kilograms of Kerala Marijuana worth more than 10 million rupees, off the coast of Chundikulam in Kilinochchi. The stock had been brought in from India.

Reports say that the stock of Kerala Marijuana was recovered, following a tip off received by intelligence. The raid was carried out by Dharmapuram police officers. 

Police reported that the stock had been smuggled into the country from India for distribution in the North and South of the island. 

During the raid the two suspects had left the stock and fled the site on a motorbike.

Police stated that the motorbike had been identified, and action is being taken to see the traffickers arrested.
