A Sri Lankan maid has suspiciously died while she was detained at Olaya camp in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Reports say that over 80 Sri Lankan were detained in this camp after they faced issues while working in the country.

The deceased is a 40-year-old mother of three has died on 30th last month. She was identified as Palaniyandi Katpahavalli from Maskeliya, Hatton.

She has gone to work abroad last year through a private foreign employment agency.

Launching a protest in Samimale, Hatton yesterday, her family members requested the state to bring her body to the island. They also claimed that the authorities concerned has failed to look into the incident.
