State Minister Palitha Range Bandara who is accused of aiding and abetting to replace the documents of a vehicle with an illegally assembled one has been granted bail this morning.

The suspect was released on a 25,000 rupees cash bail and two surety bails of 500,000 rupees when he was produced before Colombo High Court Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardana.

The attorney general has sued Palitha Range Bandara and another individual for aiding and abetting to use a certificate of registration on a Montero Jeep for an illegally assembled one.

Accordingly, the suspects were served the indictments today by the High Court Judge and the case will be taken for hearing on March 18th.
