After the demise of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa Jayaraman concerned parties are worried over the distribution of her assets.

In April 2015 Jayalalithaa declared assets worth Rs 113.73 crore (Indian). According to reports she had movable assets worth Indian Rs 41.63 crore and immovable properties valued at Indian Rs 72.09 crore.

Accordingly, the former Chief Minister had Indian Rs. 41,000 cash in hand, listed Indian Rs 2.04 crore as liabilities and declared agriculture in the profession-occupation column.

However, the total worth of her gold jewellery was not ascertained. A Supreme Court case for the disproportionate assets is currently pending with regard to this.

Her silver items are valued at Indian Rs 3, 12, 50,000.

She owned nine vehicles and several commercial property.

It is believed that Sasikala Natarajan, who performed Jaya's last rites, will inherit the bulk of her wealth. Also Vivek Jayaraman, son of Ilavarasi and Jayaraman (Sasikala's brother), will reportedly inherit part of the property too.
