A decrease of serious crimes was seen in November, Police says.

In a report police said 7592 number of crimes was reported across the island at the end of November. These involved murders, sexual abuse cases, robberies and thefts.

Accordingly, 575 serious crimes are among the reported cases including 39 murders and 198 sexual abuse cases.

Police reports show that there was a decrease of 90 cases from last November. Also, last month had 16 crimes less than October.

Most number of serious crimes were reported from the Western Province.
