Comments fueled by revenge that are made in parliament are untrue, National Freedom Front (NFF) Media Spokesman Mohammed Muzammil said during a press conference yesterday.

He added, “Firstly, I was at the Magazine Prison for 51 days. But, I will not challenge a statement made by MP Hirunika Premachandra. This is because she spoke about male genitals. She has a great knowledge on the subject. I will not challenge that expertized knowledge on it.

“However, the comments made about the Magazine is not accurate. I was there for 51 days. I was in this cell during those 51 days. There is no such luxurious room. We lived amongst bugs, cockroaches and rats. MP Hirunika has made a misleading comment about this in Parliament.

“Also, this doctor’s prime responsibility is to treat, regardless this is a prisoner, suspect, normal person, wrongdoer or a faultless one. The doctor’s responsibility is the treat a person if he is sick. We see that imprisoned people are suffering from various illnesses. Health conditions of some sick inmates aggravate because of the environment there with dust, flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches. So doctors’ are obliged to treat patients under these conditions.

“We can see how drunk in revenge MP Hirunika is. So we can understand her revenge filled psychology by the comment she made in Parliament.”
