Tissa Attanayake’s petition rejected by Courts

The petition filed by UNP ex-general secretary Tissa Attanayake seeking permission to travel abroad was rejected by the Colombo High Courts today.

Attanayake had sought Courts permission to leave the country to visit his daughter living overseas.

Colombo High Court Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardhana who considered the petition has rejected it citing that the visit is not urgent.

Attanayake who was arrested on 3 charges including preparing forged documents is currently on bail.
