The State Pharmacists’ Union says that black flags will be hoisted at all government hospitals for 7 days from today.

This decision has been taken in protest of the Health Ministry’s failure to find solutions to their problems.

The Union has already educated the Health Ministry, the Publicly Administration Ministry and the National Salary commission about 14 issues.

Pharmacists launched a protest in front of the Health Ministry yesterday as no authority has drawn attention to their demands.

Meanwhile, chairman of the state pharmacists union Ajith P Thilakarathna stated that his organization will launch a continuous strike if a solution is not given within 7 days.

Meanwhile, drivers attached to Health services in the North Central Province launched a Sathyagraha this morning.

They demanded the authorities to solve their career issues.

Meanwhile, Health Minister of North Central Provincial Council K.B. Nandasena said that the demands brought forward by the drivers’ union are unfair.
