UPFA General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that the decision to lease out 58 vehicles for parliamentarians has been temporarily suspended.

Minister Amaraweera stated this to journalists after participating in a ceremony held at fisheries harbor at Kottegoda in Matara today.

Cabinet has already approved this scheme but Parliament Reforms and Media Ministry Secretary, Attorney-at-law Nimal Bopage refused put his signature to the relevant document.

When minister Amaraweera was questioned about the disagreement, he responded to journalists in this manner.
